I am a second-generation Italian American born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island. My professional career spans over 40 years in the community corrections having in 2011 I retired as a Probation & Parole Supervisor. My other claim to fame is my skill in the kitchen, I started cooking before I reached my teen years learning the old fashion way from my grandmother and mother. One day in September of 2006 I found myself volunteered to write a cooking column for a local monthly publication, The Foster Home Journal. Low and behold, suddenly I was an author and embarking on a new career. Mangia with Micheline is a journey of my life through stories and recipes about family, friends and the good old days. I hope you enjoy my stories and find my recipes tempting to try.
